The 2025 Australian film Kangaroo is about a disgraced TV host and a young Indigenous girl who work together to rehabilitate orphaned joeys in the Outback. The movie is based on the life of Chris "Brolga" Barns, the founder of The Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs.
